modern room good view convenient proximity
the room was modern with a good view Of the a1. heating worked very WELL . proximity to the gym was convenient because it has additional facilities. i found free parking available, and durham city centre was a quick drive.
i noticed the room smelled strange Upon my arrival. the smell was somewhat distracting. i hope the hotel addresses this to improve their experience.

the reception staff was helpful and friendly. i was given free access to the pool and spa area next door. it included a jacuzzi. the room was a good size and very clean.
the toilet flush was a bit weak (but manageable).

The room had a larger bed, a nice surprise. Breakfast was available, though not included, this was very welcome. Access to a pool and sauna was available. I appreciated that the cleaners only tidied up when I placed the notice on my door.
The hotel bar did not have much variety, limiting my choices for an evening drink.

The hotel is in a quiet location but provides close proximity to the city. A large retail park and a Tesco Extra are conveniently close by. This makes shopping and accessing necessities very easy

The receptionist mandy was so lovely and helpful, really setting a positive tone for my stay. my room felt comfy. I especially liked the elemis toiletries provided.
I found the room decor a bit dated. Some areas looked like they needed fresh paint.

the hotel is easily accessible and located near many attractions. the availability of parking, coupled with the option to take a bus, allows for easy exploration of the local area. everything is close by!!!

friendly staff lovely note low water pressure drain smell
The staff was very lovely. They upgraded my room, and they left a nice note on the mirror to celebrate my birthday. The swimming pool was clean. Jacuzzi and spa staff also were very helpful. I really enjoyed it.
The hotel room was not properly cleaned. The water pressure in the bathroom was low. The drain had a strong smell. I really wanted the water pressure to be better than what it was.
